The Bomondia of the Painters

 THE BOMONTIADE OF PAINTERS 

 Bomondiada, the original painting festival of the "Zythia Bacchus", was celebrated again this year brilliantly as befits its reputation. 

In the picturesque and green garden of the Panep Alumni Association. BOSPOROU (BUMED) in the area of Hisaroustou, in an idyllic environment, 

with plenty of real draft beer, the Zografiotes celebrated their traditional custom on Monday, June 11, 2018. 

The location this year reminded us of the famous Bomondi brewery garden, where it was traditionally started and celebrated and named after. 

Today the beer factory has been converted into a complex of restaurants etc. under the name "BOMONTIADA" but unfortunately it is a bit difficult to organize this event there. 

 Bomondiada is the festival of beer and was established to be celebrated every year by the Painting Alumni Association, 

since its foundation in 1944 and in a way it is the first acquaintance of the new graduates with the Association. 

 Bomondiada is usually the first event of the newly elected Board of Directors of the Association after the elections 

and admittedly the organizers received an "excellent" in this first event. 

 The Director of Ellogim Painting. Mr. Yiannis Demirtzoglou, presented this year's graduates to the Zografeiotiki Family and the other co-celebrants, 

which are as follows:

"Life of Neochoritou,

Christina Syntihaki, 

Ekaterini Sekeri,  

Rebecca Kayakoparan, 

Sofia Sanem Yildiz, 

Nasircan Orduluoglu, 

Giannis Morfiadis", 

he wished them good continuation and progress in their higher studies and together they raised their glasses to their health. 

 Then, somewhat controlled, the custom of beer "baptism" of the new graduates by older ones took place again. 

 This year's Bomondiada was attended by the Consul General of Greece, Ambassador Mr. Evangelos Sekeris with Evgenest. his wife 

the President of the Community Stavrodoriou Mr. Georgios Papaliaris, Painting teachers, many painters, the parents and friends of this year's graduates. 

 Everyone had fun with the music group that was created in the last few years and spread the fun at the event 

and consists of Anna Psaropoulou, Filio Andrikopoulou, Yannis Kotsias and Simos Tsiampli on the bouzouki. 

A revelation was Nikos Kalamaris with his beautiful song and other amateur singers and finally also Mr. Yiannis Gigurtsis, congratulations to everyone,   

of course, there were also traditional dances. 

 Finally, we all tasted the beautiful cakes that A.Th.P. usually sends along with His wishes and blessings. the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew.

 We congratulate under the Presidency of Ellog. Mr. Damonas Komvopoulos new Director. Council of the SAZ, for the efforts they made 

for the success of the established event of the Painters. 

 The time to return has arrived. The custom was again observed to the best of its ability. 

 We raise our glasses full of beer and drink to the health of all the Painters and quote 2 quatrains from the poem of the Painter Mr. Yannis Galitsis 

"BOMMONTIADA 92" : 

"I wanted to describe - lyrically with mandinada

The perfectly organized - Bomondiada of Painters 

With hope and rejoicing – the glasses were raised 

The graduates were tolerated - the final students were flattered."
