Galata City School - "TURKCELL - the Art of Communication"

In mid-September, the cross-cultural art exhibition entitled "TURKCELL - The Art of Communication" organized by 
the Educational and Cultural Association of Imbros.
This artistic event is a gesture of recognition, to the Turkish communication company TURKCELL, for its generous sponsorship with which 
the Hellenic Gymnasium-Lyceum of Imvrou acquired standard sports and cultural facilities in May 2017.


 

The first stop of the exhibition was Athens September 15-26 with an opening on September 18, in the "MELINA" hall of the Municipality of Athens, 

followed by the presentation in Thessaloniki, September 30 - October 12 with an opening on September 30, which was performed by the ATHP, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, 

in the Gallery of the Society of Macedonian Studies. 

The artistic journey continued in Izmir, for one week, November 5-9, in the halls of the city's Chamber of Commerce.

This exhibition is a remarkable artistic coexistence of 50 successful Greek and Turkish artists. Photography, sculpture and painting through a different style 

and different trends convey to us the concept of communication.

The idea of ​​the exhibition belongs to the journalist - visual observer Kyriakos Petalidis who was also responsible for its artistic curation. 

The collaboration with the ladies Juliette Vingas-Fucks and Luki Kotam, for the implementation of this very special project, is also valuable.

Continuing her journey, she is now in Istanbul, at the Galata City School in the period November 19 - December 3.

This visual tour of the exhibition will reach Imbros on January 12, 2019, ending its artistic journey there.
